章丘刁镇蔬菜批发市场创建于1991年6月，现有交易场所13.34万平方米，其中交易区8.5万平方米，服务管理、生活娱乐、加工储藏区4.84万 平方米，各类商品交易分区明显，布局合理，配套齐全，可为客户提供系列化全程服务。2003年以来日交易蔬菜70万公斤以上，预计全年交易量在3.1亿公 斤以上，成交额25.亿元。
章丘刁镇蔬菜批发市场在激烈的竞争中迅速发展，吸引了京津沪、东北三省及冀、皖、豫、苏、晋等省客户，已基本完成以产地输出型向中转集散型的过渡，外地占市场总销售量的60％以上。
市场于1997年成为国家农业部信息网员，2000年又成为国家国内贸易部信息网员，现在每天可通过中国农业信息网及十亿农网对市场的信息进行发布和收集。2000年市场被国家农业部批准为“农业部定点批发市场”，使市场的管理和服务又上了一个新档次。
