Essential information

 

China Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Science and Technology Expo") is approved by the State Council, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office, the China Trade Promotion Conference and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Beijing Trade Promotion Conference.

Founded in 1998, the Expo was renamed "International Week of High-tech Industry in Beijing, China". Since the fifth session of 2002, it has been officially renamed as the Expo. So far, it has held 21 consecutive sessions. It has gradually built up a five-in-one framework of comprehensive activities, exhibitions, promotional transactions, forum meetings, online exhibitions and promotions. It has become a symbolic brand activity at home and abroad to display the latest scientific and technological achievements, disseminate frontier ideas, publish industrial policy information, promote the specialization of international economic and technological cooperation, and have a high level of internationalization. According to incomplete statistics, more than 900 delegations from overseas governments, science and technology, economy and trade from more than 100 countries and regions participated in the first 21 sessions of the Expo. 3504 high-tech enterprises and scientific research institutes launched the latest technological achievements. The total number of people from all walks of life who participated in the Expo reached 542,000. 221 special topics were held in succession. Thousands of high-level forums and special exchanges, 5426 speeches by renowned scientists, economists and business leaders at home and abroad, 230 economic and trade talks involving domestic and foreign investment cooperation, technology and trade, key projects of urban development, and more than 120,000 Chinese and foreign businessmen participated, signed contracts, agreements, etc. There are 5509 intentions with a total amount of 996.19 billion yuan. The successful holding of the Expo provides a practical link for promoting the integration of industry, University and research, provides a technological demonstration for the growth of new kinetic energy and the upgrading of traditional kinetic energy, and provides an important platform for deepening international capacity cooperation and expanding the space for scientific and technological innovation.
